There was some planned downtime today for a couple minutes here and there. There was a new server put completely in effect. The only thing left over from before are the 2x500gb hard drives. The raid migration had the only hiccup, and it was easily solved by switching over to FreeBSD's very powerfull software raid. Gmirror ftw! Anyways, the system now has 2coresx2.6ghz intel core2duo CPU, 4gb ram, the 2x500gb raid-1 hard drives, and two gigabyte network cards. It's in an entirely new enclosure, powersupply, motherboard, etc...etc... It cruises pretty fast on freebsd.

I heard news tonight that Jeff Moyle has passed away. I figured I would post it here considering many people knew him/knew of him. I don't have much details other than that he was parasailing, his harness broke, and he fell 100 some feet to the water resulting in his death. It's a huge bummer I won't see him at the LSPR or local auto-x's anymore. It was pretty cool to have him as a local rally driver that was actually pretty decent and representing in the x-games rally. Rally on man.
